No more twitter/X

Posted by DuBetta - August 31st, 2024

so Twitter/X got banned from Brazil, which means that I lost access to two of my accounts (Dubetta an Unfiltered sketchbook of Betta) Im just sad because I just lost 1094 days of daily sketches and two places where I had a GOOD engagement range and community.

I will be posting every work that I have here but my studies will be put on hold until this shit situation gets resolved.

you could download a vpn

I have a risk of receiving a fine (pretty heavy one at that) so I'm not risking

if it helps, not the same thing but my spouse got banned (he literally got hacked lol and they banned him), and he's been spending years trying to bounce back there

the fact that you lost your archive does suck, tho I wonder if someone could help out and download+send the images to you? but in terms of community, honestly I feel like it's slowly getting less and less active as a site overall as people have been leaving. I feel like other people have had the same experiences too. so I think either way that would've started to happen, losing that community

that really does suck tho!!

It's probably the right time for twitter to sink.

do the L

My condolences.

My suggestion would be that you ask your 101 fans on NG for help. If you split the workload evenly, 11 users could download the sketches from day X to day Y and host them somewhere for you in exchange for a "commissioned" sketch of their own. NG supporters can host the files on their 'Dumping Grounds' ( https://www.newgrounds.com/dump ).

You'd just have to make a news post with the proposal as well as list the days, so there is no overlap. And have your fans write a comment which set of days they are going to download before they start. (You could label them "Groupings A-K", for example.)

I hope this helps.
